Thanks for visiting Knitting Liberally. We are still working on it and hope to have more content soon.

The goal of the site is to connect the two greatest blogospheres: the knitting blogosphere and liberal blogosphere. It will have posts involving these two worlds, and will be a place to find links to socially conscious knitting related events, alongs and products (yes, I mean yarn) as well as links to the best of the liberal blogs and other media.

We hope this will become a community site where people can post thoughts, ideas, patterns, knitting and craft related items and liberal and progressive news and political commentary.

The site is also the online home for Knitting Liberally (KL), a social group that will meet weekly on Tuesday nights in Northampton, MA to knit and discuss politics from a liberal perspective with others that share a passion for these two wonderful, yet sometimes deeply frustrating interests.

It is planned in conjuction with the local Drinking Liberally chapter here, which meets at 6:30pm on Tuesdays at the Northampton Brewery. KL launch date and time to follow.
